There is lots to do around our area and we are ideally situated for day trips to many of the main tourist destinations of Tasmania.
Keep in mind though that shops in Richmond are generally closing early and that it is difficult to buy food or go out for dinner late in the evening. But why not stock up with fresh sea food or nice cheese on the way and enjoy it in the cottage. The kitchen is very well equipped for any meal.

In Richmond, very close to the accommodation are historic buildings, cafes and craft shops.

Of course there are many other wineries, distilleries and great food producers in our area

"Mount Wellington" is a great short trip with fantastic views over Hobart and surrounds.

The east coast of Tasmania is stunningly beautiful for a nature trip to e.g. "Swan Sea" or "Coles Bay"

There is also the historic "Port Arthur" which is about 1.5 hours drive to the Tasman Peninsula.
